A pochi giorni dal trionfo ai Golden Globes come miglior film straniero arriva un'altra soddisfazione per la pellicola di Paolo Sorrentino, La grande bellezza, che è stata inserita nella cinquina di film candidati al premio Oscar 2014 sempre nella categoria 'miglior film straniero'. In caso di vittoria -incrociamo tutti le dita- si tratterebbe di un nuovo trionfo italiano dopo ben 15 anni. L'ultimo film italiano a vincere l'Oscar come miglior film straniero fu La vita è bella di Roberto Benigni nel 1999.
